From varsity high school golf, to college golf at Wake Forest University and then 13-years playing on the LPGA Tour, LPGA professional Patty Jordan-Smith has had extensive experience in playing competitive golf.
After retiring from the LPGA Tour Patty then moved into teaching and coaching golf at both public and private clubs where she earned her Class A status in the LPGA Teaching and Club Professional division. Through the years Patty has added numerous certifications including being certified as Plane Truth Level 1 Instructor and a US Kids certified Instructor.
Since 2004 Patty has been involved with the not-for-profit youth development organization The First Tee holding roles as a Recognized Coach, Recognized Program Director and National Coach Trainer. Patty is one of only nine The First Tee Master Coaches out of over 3900 trained The First Tee coaches. Early in the teaching and coaching portion of her career Patty realized that her passion is coaching people, focusing on their goals, their learning and their ability. By keeping the student-centered approach in every element of coaching and teaching, Patty’s key mindset is to focus on what a player CAN do verses what they can’t. Even in the winter Patty takes this philosophy to the ski slopes as an adaptive ski instructor helping people to push past their boundaries and enjoy all they CAN do!
Patty’s goal is to help people achieve their goals and to continue to grow in the skill and knowledge to help them in the most effective and efficient way possible.
